The Word Chums board is a 15x15 grid where strategy and word skills come together. Each square on the board plays a role in how many points you can score. Some squares boost your score, while others are just regular spaces for placing letters. Knowing how these squares work can help you play smarter.

Special Squares and What They Do

The board has special squares that multiply the value of your letters or entire words. Here's how they work:

• Double Letter Score (Light Blue): Doubles the value of the letter placed on this square.
• Triple Letter Score (Dark Blue): Triples the value of the letter placed here.
• Double Word Score (Pink): Doubles the value of the entire word if one of your letters is placed on this square.
• Triple Word Score (Red): Triples the value of the entire word.
• Quadruple Letter Score (Purple): Quadruples the value of the letter placed on these corner squares.
• Start Square (Star): The first word must cover the star in the center of the board.

Using these squares at the right time can make a huge difference in your score.

How Words Connect

Similar to Scrabble and WWF, every word you play must connect with letters already on the board. When you place a letter next to another word, all the tiles touching your new letter must form valid words. This makes each move a mix of scoring and strategy.
